So today is the day my computer has decided to work! Yay, because I have so much to tell you. Sort of.
Today is going to start with a funny Quote from my niece, which brings back the innocence of childhood, and made me bust a gut laughing. I wasn't there to hear her say this, but I really wish I had been. Has anyone heard the song "One Night Stand"? It goes sorta like this, "All I ever wanted was a one night stand". To start, my niece is very into pop music, she sings and dances and just generally enjoys it. So when the family was all together, and the kids were finished listening to music, and everyone was sitting down to dinner, she had to ask, "I don't get it, why would he only want one night stand, doesn't everybody need TWO night stands?". It makes you believe in the innocence of youth right? I love it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
We had a hockey game on Sunday, our little team played their hearts out, but lost 11-9. It was a really good game. Supernan scored 4 goals!!! And I had the pleasure of taking cupcakes for both teams, because as the manager, I booked a hockey game on his birthday, a mistake I was not allowed to live down, but he did forgive me when I made root beer cupcakes for his whole team.
That being said, we played in a town called Redwater, home of Canada's tallest OIL DERRICK! Yes that is there claim to fame, and rightfully so, as they are directly on the route to Fort Mac. Besides having the derrick, it is a very nice little town, they have a beautiful new arena and some very nice parks. And a Subway, which is a nice welcome change. They have a huge town wide garage sale every year, and a really nice outdoor pool that kids can take lessons at in the summer. (Sorry, no pics, my computer isn't working that well).
I have been super busy planning the boys birthday party, and am super pumped for it on Friday. My kids have opted to donate to the Royal Alex NICU instead of presents this year (they were both there after they were born), so we will have the pleasure of spending an afternoon with friends, partying, and helping babies too. I love it!!!!!
That's the post for now, I haven't been doing too much crafting lately, I kind went on hiatus, and am just working on crafting stuff for the boys birthday party, saloon signs, swinging door, etc. With any luck I will be able to show lots of pics when the party is done.

They Like Me, They Really, Really Like Me!!!!!!
My kids think I'm cool. I did not think that was a sentence that I would have to say until I was much, much older. I had my children when I was relatively young, so at 30, I still consider myself to be hip and cool. YaYa, not so much. At 11, she already rolls her eyes at me for what I wear and say. She has told me numerous times, I am a dork. I don't take too much offense to it, cause she's 11. So of course it shocked me when I was getting ready for yoga yesterday and she says "What's with your headband? (I used sport wrap in 2 different colors, only that will stay in my hair) I LOVE IT!!!! THAT'S SO COOL MOM, CAN YOU MAKE ME ONE JUST LIKE THAT?" And she was serious. That was shocking. And amusing. I know that's gonna change many times over the next 10 years, but it was nice to know for a second that she thought I was cool.
Secondly, thanks E for the gold. As he was pouring his juice the other morning, I was told, he was spilling it all over and seriously said "Huh, this cup must have a hole in it". LOL!!!!! Only a 5 year old could assume that he did not make the mess and it was indeed the cups fault.

SQEEEEEEEK!!!!
Chaos doesn't talk much, so it's hard to write anything about him, but the last couple days, he's been giving me gems. For starters, I am sure no on believes that he can say anything other than no, but we have good conversations all day and his vocab is coming along. Also, he has decided to go against my wishes and start potty training himself. Normally, people aren't opposed to this, but he is my last baby, and he is just that, a baby, so it's a hard pill to swallow. However, on the numerous occasions that I sit in the bathroom with him, waiting and waiting (he tries), he talks. He tells me what his body is doing. The other day, he farted and he told me "mamma, bum, SQEEEEEEEEEK" How can you not laugh at that, he was so serious and he scrunched up his eyes when he said it. It was the funniest thing I have heard come out of his mouth.

About 90 Americans committed suicide today. Ninety will tomorrow. Six-hundred and thirty will next week. Someone did 15 minutes ago, and someone will 15 minutes from now. Individuals commit suicide because of mental illness, such as PTSD, depression, schizophrenia, postpartum depression, bipolar disorder, and anxiety disorders, amongst many other mental illnesses, verbal abuse, domestic violence, bullying, cyber bulling, sexual harassment, rape, teen pregnancy, divorce, terminal disease diagnosis, racism, and poverty. Suicide is very real and very scary. Most of us know someone who committed or attempted suicide. It is important for us to remember all whose lives were taken or changed by suicide. Talk to people, listen to people, if someone tells you they are thinking about suicide don't blow it off. Learn the signs that someone may be going to commit suicide. I can't stress this enough. Suicide is a big deal... it is everywhere... Raise general suicide awareness. Wear red Friday, December 3rd, to raise suicide awareness. Copy this and paste this onto your profile, talk to your friends. Everyone is loved by someone. Let those you know know that you love them, you could be the difference in their lives. Be there for those who are struggling. If you are struggling, know you are not alone. Find someone to talk to who will be willing to listen. I love babies) A friend of mine, hendrix wife, was camping with her daughter Gouie, when all of a sudden she came running up to her and said "Mommy, my bum hurts" and hendrix wife, looking confused, of course asked her why. Cherish Yesterday, Live for Today, Dream of Tomorrow
I'm gonna take it away from the kids today and begin my morning by telling you my favorite quote. It's on everyone's walls, in everyone's minds and even inked onto some bodies. But it remains the truth. It is by far the words that have stuck with for years, through bad and good times, when I have cried or laughed.
CHERISH YESTERDAY, LIVE FOR TODAY, DREAM OF TOMORROW
I have heard people talk about, and had conversations about what they would do different, or if they could go back with the knowledge they have now. It is a wonderful thought really, but not me. I am sure that I have done some things in my life that I regret and probably will for the rest of my life. But those are just things, and had I not done them, said them, etc, I would not be where I am at this very moment. I would not have my 3 beautiful children (however bonkers they drive me on a regular basis), I would not be happily married, I would not have this wonderful blog, or have the time, and financial capability to be a stay at home mother and take care of my children and craft and sew. Now there is the possibility that it can be looked at from the other end too, not by me, but maybe some people aren't happy where they are. Regardless though, I have seen far too many family members and friends of family suffer from varying degrees of memory loss, and the though remains, I would not change my past and although somethings I would like to forget, I will do my best to cherish them, because it could all slip away to easily.
Live for today also rings true in this household. We are not big planners. My husband surprised me this past spring with an impromptu trip to B.C and Washington, less than a week before we left (it may seem like plenty of time, but not so much with 3 kids, one of whom was still nursing). We definitely think about the future, ours and our children's, but we refuse to miss out on the glories that this day has to offer. It can all be taken away from you far too soon.
Dream of tomorrow. I'm not saying that living for today should stop your dreams, there should always be dreams and hopes, however crazy or realistic. Taking away some semblance in your life to daydream about your future, that trip to Vegas, or traveling around the world, or whatever your dreams may be. For me, always dreaming will keep me the spry 16 year old that I always want to be (not actually 16 people, I just act like it, and enjoy the immaturity I have, especially with my kids and their friends).
While I had no intentions of fully breaking this down for you, it just kinda happened. I just wanted to tell you my favorite quote, the one I think about when I get up in the morning and when I go to bed at night.

SHHHHHHH........ And Other Truths
Shhhhhh, thats what I hear from Chaos, when I try to sing to him. I am really beginning to think I am not a good singer. Far from professional I know, but this is getting ridiculous. I know he is still a baby, but I do get a kick out of his constant shhhhh, and no. Not just no, though, he says it like he's mooing. He can talk, although no on believes me, because no is all he says to other people. What's worse is that he has a healthy sign language vocabulary (?), and still he says noooooo.
I wonder sometimes though if I am failing my children somehow with their grasp of language(s). In an english speaking household, with the occasional french word thrown in for good measure, especially when YaYa was a young child. Im not so sure it sunk in though, when I heard her describe the Bonne Nuit Bed and Breakfast as the "Bonny Nut" and then couldn't figure out why she could not find it in the phone book.
I used to carry a notebook around with me and write down the weird science that came from YaYa's mouth, but then she got older and less funny truths came from her. But I think I will start again and keep an ear open for all the little truths I hear.

Can You Feel The Power?!
From the mouths of babes...... Children have the most wonderful innocence, but sometimes you have to wonder where their "words" come from. Enter Calligator, age 3. He is the most vivacious and entertaining child (next to my own of course) that I have had the pleasure of meeting. Most children make me laugh, it's a great thing, but he has me in tears when he speaks. He is charming and funny and some of the best things come out of his mouth.
Now this quote, I hope I am getting it right H, has to make you wonder. It started as a story about numerous things that he spoke of, just out of the blue. For example, when he worked at a crepe place in calgary. It continued until H told me that morning, when she was putting his shoes on he said "Can you feel it?" "What?" "Can you feel the power" At this point I was in stitches, so I told her to ask him who he was before she was his mommy. His answer, of course, "Pretty Girl", aka his little sister. It only makes sense. So apparently, he was a wrestler who used to work at a crepe place and be a girl in a past life.

Just as a side note, I am preparing some video of supernan to add for next Wednesday. He plays a mean mouth guitar and air guitar, wicked solos! I unfortunately missed the boat for that video, but be prepared to rock out to some Black Sabbath in the near future. He does on a regular basis!
